The VERY underrated Cesar Cedeno

I don't think you'd like it if they didn't let you write all the time, either."
--Cedeno in '85 to reporters, while languishing on the Reds' bench. Traded to the Cardinals a few weeks later, he smashd the first pitch he saw as a Card (vs. the Astros, no less) for a home run

Although he didn't walk much, only scored 100 runs one time, and only drove in 100 once, Cesar Cedeno somehow still remains one of the greatest offensive forces in Astro history. Check out the doubles totals, for example. In 1972 he became the first 20/50 player in major league history by hitting 20 homers and stealing 50 bases. He did it again in 1973. And then AGAIN in 1974. He'd accomplished the feat three times before anybody else did it even once. I mean, think who didn't do it: Tris Speaker, Ty Cobb, Willie Mays, Bobby Bonds: all pretty fast guys with power, but none were able to do even once what Cedeno did three times.
